When it comes to culture, Cuba is one of the best go-to spots for black couples traveling together. Apart from the vibrant culture in Cuba, there’s a lot to see and do, but finding a great place to stay can be challenging when you see just how many hotels there are. Me and bae recently had the privilege of staying at the VOYA Boutique Hotel during a trip to Cuba, and I thought I’d share my views of this location.
Initial Thoughts of Voya Boutique Hotel, Cuba
VOYA Boutique Hotel in Cuba is definitely not the cheapest option in the area, but we were in the mood for something luxurious. Upon arrival, I was already impressed. The hotel looks great from the outside and I could immediately see balconies, which I really liked.
The check-in process was quick and easy, and we were shown to our Deluxe Room without any unnecessary delays.
The Deluxe room had a soft, luxurious king-size bed with a desk and chair. There was a door that led outside to the balcony, which offered amazing views of the surrounding landscapes. The addition of lounge furniture was a nice touch, as me and bae got to sit outside, appreciate the sun, and have a view of the town.
The rain shower was also a treat and an experience on its own.
What’s Included?
Booking a room at VOYA Boutique Hotel is something you should do ahead of time. This is especially important if you want a great room.
There was a variety of things included in our room that just added to our experience. This included Bluetooth speakers, a Nespresso coffee machine, and even WiFi that helped us stay connected during our travels.
The hotel also offers bicycles upon request, which is a really nice addition, allowing you and bae to really explore the area that surrounds the hotel.
Dining Options
The in-house restaurant really helps to add to the overall experience. There’s no need to visit a spot outside of the hotel.
My favorite option was the Secret Garden Bar. The bar has handcrafted cocktails that are quite unique, and the sharing menus make the bar really special for black couples traveling together.
There’s also the Brasserie 255 restaurant that’s great if you want to experience Cuban cuisine. The great thing about the restaurant is the fact that they have options for just grabbing a quick snack, but they also cater to romantic dinners.
Experiences and What to Do
VOYA curates a variety of local activities that you and bae can enjoy in Cuba.
We really enjoyed the cocktail masterclass, and bae got me to join some of the yoga classes, too. There’s the option to get an in-room spa experience, which is also luxurious and very professional.
Outside the hotel, I’d definitely suggest you try out the Old Havana Walking Tour, visit Varadero Beach, and explore the Hidden Gems of Havana.
Final Thoughts
The VOYA Boutique Hotel in Cuba is the ultimate experience for black couples traveling together. They’ve got everything you need for a luxurious stay, while also giving you access to a variety of exciting adventures to go on in Havana.
